Belton Christian Preschool is an extension of the total ministry of the Church, and is an outreach and service not only to our members, but also to our community. We believe that every child is a blessing from God. Our desire is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can grow both spiritually and socially. Our preschool strives to develop a partnership with families that will enhance each child’s learning experience.

The $125.00 registration fee must be paid on the day of registration to guarantee your child’s place in a class. The registration fee is non-refundable.

Tuition is $180.00 per month, and is due on the 1st day of each month from September through May. Belton Church of Christ members and those with two or more children enrolled will receive $10.00 off the 1st child’s tuition. Tuition is late after the 15th of each month at which time late fees will be assessed.

(Please refer to the Handbook for policies regarding late tuition.)

This fee is to be paid even during Christmas vacation, Spring Break and shorter months. The tuition has been averaged out over the course of the year.

For babies, 2s, and 3s, we have a supply fee of $35 per child per year. This fee must be paid with the 1st month of tuition and covers all supplies and nap mats (bedding for infants) for the school year. The supply fee for our Pre-K students is $50 per year because it includes additional curriculum (see below).

School Year

The school year starts the first Tuesday in September and ends in May. Classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am-2:30 pm. We also offer an early bird class from 8:00-9:00 am and a late day class from 2:30-3:30 pm. There is an addition fee of $30 for either and $50 for both early bird and late day.

Belton Christian Preschool has classes for children ages 12 months to PK. We offer small class sizes to help facilitate the learning environment for each child. Here are the ratios for each grade group:

12m-18m: 1 teacher/5 students

18m-24m: 1 teacher/6 students

2 years: 1 teacher/8 students

3 years: 1 teacher/10 students

4 years (PK): 1 teacher/13 students

*Children are placed in their classes according to their age on September 1st and will remain in the same class for the duration of the year.

In our 12-24 month classes, young learners are encouraged to experience their environment though sensory play and hands-on activities. At this age, teachers operate on the child’s schedule!

We employ a center-based approach in our 2 yr. old through pre-kindergarten programs. Children are encouraged to explore activities in these centers that are designed to emphasize readiness skills such as recognizing letters, shapes, colors, and numbers, as well as other developmental skills.

Thematic units are implemented in classrooms for children 2 years of age and older. Teachers post monthly calendars indicating weekly themes and Bible lessons. The weekly themes are integrated into circle time activities, and the activities that are designed for learning centers. Learning centers that are included in the classroom are: arts and crafts, manipulates, prewriting, dramatic play, library, sensory play, and music/listening center.

During circle time children will enjoy and take part in story time, finger plays, calendar time, and group music. Chapel is also part of our weekly activities for the 3’s and PK classes. Children will hear Bible stories, sing songs, and learn socialization skills from a Christian perspective.

We support a “hands-on” approach to learning; therefore, special activities such as field-trips, special guest speakers, holiday celebrations, and other special events are scheduled throughout the year to enhance the learning process.

Our PK program uses the Happily Ever After curriculum for language arts and the Singapore Math curriculum. We ask that each PK student pay an additional $15 supply fee to help offset the cost of this curriculum.
