J. Ritchie Hamm and his wife, Kelley, began their ministry at Belton on June 1, 2016. Prior to coming to Belton, Ritchie served 19 years as the preaching minister for the Pine Tree Church of Christ in Longview, TX (1997-2016). He served 14 years as the college minister for the Church of Christ in Weatherford, OK (1983-1997). He served one year as the associate/youth minister for the Custer Avenue Church of Christ in Clinton, OK (1982-1983). Ritchie has a B.A. in Bible from Oklahoma Christian University (1980), and a Master of Education degree in Counseling from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK (1985).
Ritchie & Kelley have two children. Their son, Spencer Hamm, is married to Christine. Their daughter, Sydney Kutter, is married to Justin.
Youth & Family Minister
Bruce grew up in Tyler, TX at the Shiloh Road Church of Christ. He attended Abilene Christian University and received his Bachelor of Arts in Bible with an emphasis in Youth Ministry in 2000. He also received his Master of Science in Digital Media with an emphasis on Graphic Design from Abilene Christian in December 2001. Bruce has worked in youth ministry since August 2001 and has served at Austin St Church of Christ (Garland, TX) and Pine Tree Church of Christ (Longview, TX).
Bruce and his wife, Katy, have a son (Caleb) and a daughter (Peyton). They joined the Belton family in July 2017. Both Bruce and Katy have a passion for teens and love encouraging them to grow spiritually. Through a combination of fun events and spiritually-minded classes & activities, their aim is to grow a group of adolescents into a strong community of young believers.
Children & Family Minister
Vince joined our staff in February 2018. His desire is to help build a foundation of faith in our youngest Christ-followers. He graduated from Lubbock Christian Univeristy with a B.A. in Children’s Ministry and has served in one other church prior to joining the Belton family.
While at LCU, Vince met his wife, Mikael-Anne, who is a nurse at McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple. They married in 2012 and now have two children —Asher and Keziah.
Worship & Spiritual Formation Minister
Chris has a passion for worship and bringing people deeper into the kingdom of God. He has a B.A. in Youth & Family Ministry and an M.Div from Abilene Christian University. Chris served in worship, associate, and youth ministry at various churches before joining the Belton family in May 2018.
Chris met his wife Brooke while at ACU, and they married in 2009. They have two children—Ellie and Luke—who keep their home busy and full of love!
